Added this year: The 2013 Walk for Autism in Sylacauga will include the 5k Race to Solve the Puzzle. The event is for walkers and runners. There will be awards given for first, second and third in age brackets starting with 12 and under in ten year increments along with an overall male and female winner. We will have a free kids area including inflatables, facepainting, crafts, and more. There will be door prizes drawn also. We have added local vendor booths this year and portions of their sales will go to the Autism Society of Alabama.
Registration for the 2013 Walk for Autism and 5k to solve the puzzle is now open! Join the Autism Society of Alabama and help solve the puzzle of autism spectrum disorders one step at a time! The annual Walk for Autism is the single-most powerful fundraising event in April that unifies thousands of participants statewide in support of the mission and projects of the Autism Society. Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the U.S., and affects as many as 45,000 people in Alabama. ASA has never been stronger or more focused on our mission, and we need volunteers like YOU to join our cause! Take the first step and register to support your local Walk for Autism.
